nifty sequencer accessory

2011-02-25 by Cikira (Amanda)

Cross-posted, sorry:

I was interested right away when I read about the cheap and cheerful
Rock Band 3 MIDI keytar/keyboard that's also useful as a MIDI
controller. But I ended up buying an Alesis Q25, because it's not
quite so toy-like in look.

The nice surprise was the stand they make for the Rock Band
controller. I bought one on a guess that the Q25 would fit on it, and
it does.

What's more fun is how well various hardware sequencers fit on it,
that one might want positioned conveniently under one's nose
alongside a rack or table of sound sources. In these photos I haven't
extended the stand--at the lowest setting it locks in a little
higher. You could substitute a DIY rear bracket to customize it if
you need to.
