New Cirklon video on youtube

2011-02-25 by analogue-sequencer-owner@yahoogroups.com

Hi Folks,

First 'proper' tutorial is up now:
part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC8FMrzn7Is
part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbsQPcVH7xo

Next time I'll plan out what I'm going to do in advance.
It's damn hard to do this sort of thing on fly, but it should give you an idea where we're at.
Production proper is finally about to start.
My wife is working through the pre-order list to confirm who's in.
Keep an eye on your inbox if you've been waiting.

Best regards,

Videos are brilliant Colin! Thanks for taking the time to make and put them up. Just what i was hoping to see.
A request if I may? In one of your next videos would you be able to show the linear sequencing side of the Cirklon recording and running along side the step pattern based side? Its this aspect of the Cirklon which greatly interests me.

Great videos Colin.

I must admit though, I would value a formal manual/user guide akin to the
one produced for the P3 (v3).

I have poured over that manual many times and find it invaluable, especially
for the lesser used facilities which I often have to brush up on.

(For one thing, a manual has an index and allows you to go straight to the
bit you want to).

Any plans for a manual? Electronic PDF would suffice.

Ultimately yes, but a written manual is a huge effort. The P3 one took a
couple of weeks of full time work.
Parts of it will be adaptable for the Cirklon manual, since I have kept
pretty close to the original P3 design for that pattern type.
I expect the manual will be more of a reference than a tutorial.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth twenty-five
thousand words per second.

Is that black LCD going to be used on the production version? It looks great!
