PCB Update

2003-06-05 by colinfraser_com

Folks,

The final test boards shipped on Monday, so I expect them possibly
at the weekend, or early next week.
I will test them immediately, and if they're OK (which I'm 99% sure
they will be), I'll be placing the order for the first run of boards
asap. Lead time on the quantity order is 15 working days, so I
expect they will reach me around the end of June.
Then it will take another week or so for them to reach the various
corners of Earth they will be travelling to.

If you pre-ordered a set of boards in the first run, now is the time
to send payment !
Prices (shipped) for the PCB/CPU kit are:
60 ukp in the UK; 62 ukp in Europe; 64 ukp in the US.

I can take payment by PayPal (to colin@colinfraser.com), direct bank
transfer (email for details) or, in the UK only, cheque.
If you haven't already emailed me to pre-order, and you want a set
of boards, I can increase the order size, but there's a limit, so
you better let me know quickly !

Cheers,
Colin f

The first run of kits will be PCB/CPU only, but I will shortly be
putting a couple of 'full parts' kits together to see how much effort
is involved, and therefore where I need to price them.

In practice, providing a detailed list of order numbers for builders
to order the parts themselves from a local supplier will work out
quite a bit less expensive - full parts kits will be subject to
larger shipping costs and import duty for foreign buyers.

I'll discuss the possibilities further once I get the first run dealt
with.

Cheers,
Colin f
