I had a look at this yesterday.
There are some options, so let's see what euro people think.
The BOBs are designed around a small board that takes the DB25 connector
input and splits it to three 10 way ribbon cables.
The ribbon cables carry 8 signals each plus ground to each of three 8-way
jack boards.
I already have sufficient DB25 boards and quarter-inch jack boards to cover
most of the quarter-inch rack and desktop BOBs.
I'm looking for the most cost efficient way to get these into enclosures,
given the low volume required of each type.

For 3.5mm I was going to use the same spacing of jacks as the quarter-inch,
but it looked a waste of space when I prototyped it.
I laid out a new board that will allow 8 x 3.5mm jacks to fit vertically on
a euro panel.
These could be concentrated on the same panel like this:

That's a 16HP panel.
However, it might look better if the DB25 connector was hidden away
elsewhere, and it may be more practical to spread the 3.5mm jacks around the
rack.
Three 4HP panels could hold all the jacks:

...with the DB25 input either on a single panel of its own, or combined with
one of the 8 jack panels in 8HP.

Most of the euro using Cirklon owners said they would prefer a full width 1U
panel.
Which, using these jack boards, would look like this:

Cheers,
Colin
