Round two

2004-01-26 by colinfraser_com

Folks,

I've found a UK based PCB fab that has quoted me a great price for
the second run of boards, so I'll be confirming the order with them
tomorrow.
This means round two should start shipping to yourselves in early to
mid February.

I'm also going to speak to a supplier of Hammond enclosures about a
bulk order.
If you'd be interested in one of either of the two types of Hammond
case to go with your PCBs (or previous PCB customers), let me know
what you're after and I can see about adding it to my order.
The two types of case are the shallower, 17 inch wide one that Chiel
used:
http://www.oozi.demon.nl/P3index.html

Or the deeper, narrower type Paul Maddox uses:
http://www.modulus.synth.net/synthdiy/2003/p3_chameleon.jpg

Both types should be available in black or white.
Cases supplied by myself will *not* have any holes machined.
That can either be done by the builder, Steve Thomas, or Schaeffer
Apparatebau.

Cheers,
Colin f

I should point out, that if you order the BLACK case (same as mine) you
won't get wooden ends.
you'll get blue steel ends.
If you order the Cream colour case you can get it with (or without) wooden
ends.

Ah yes, that's right.
But if you're particularly keen on black with wooden-end cheeks, you can
buy one of each, and graft the wooden ends on the black case.

Put me down for one of these!

And please put in a vote for having someone machine the holes for me 'cause
I'm lazy and don't trust myself to do a good job. :)

So, I'd like to have one in cream, with wooden ends.

Oh and folks, I *finally* gonna see/touch/use my P3 in real life today!

Poor Robert...

I specially did set up the Andromeda last night as first synth in the new
house to be able to use the P3 :-))))

Poor neighbours...
