Hello. I'm one of those people that has slowly got obsessed about the Martenot since I 1st saw one in action and has allways dreamed of owning one. Now I'm also in a band and seeing Jonny Greenwood with his French Connection has made me realise if I keep working my arse off I might still be able to get one. The main controller costs £1200 which is a hell of a lot for just a controller, so I was wondering if anyone here knew anything about how I could create the sine wave without using a massive RS Integrator. Now the French Connection uses CV which rules out most keyboards and there's no hope in hell I could carry an Integrator around let alone afford one. Do Analogue Systems sell a module that can re-create the sort of sound and feel? The French Connection seems to have 2 CV outputs so would you need 2 seperate LFOs to create the sounds or do they have a module that does all that? Also has anyone bought a French Connection off Analogue Systems? Do you have to order them then they build it for you? Is there a returns policy as a result? Basically what is the deal? I really seriously am in love with the instrument but how can I test one, as I might end up with a system which doesn't work properly and I can't return? If you email them do they help you with such matters? Their web page seems really basic and pretty much doesn't tell you anything about how they work and the only contact is an enquiries email address and a phone number. If anyone can help me please email me at el_heath@hotmail.com, any advice welcome. Thank you. Eric Heath
