Hello! This is my first post here. I did send the questions listed below to Analogue Systems. While waiting their response, I thought I might post them here as well. Any comments are appreciated. I might add another question: Can you point me to a tutorial on putting up a hardware analog modular system? I don't mean synthesis theory or something like Nord Modular tutorial: I need to learn "dirty" stuff, like how to deal with patch chords, power requirements, cases, modules from different manufacturers etc. I consider starting with Analogue Systems R15 case and some of their components, maybe adding Doepfer components for less critical applications later. Best regards Jari Jokinen 1. This is from the RS95e oscillator manual: "The output from the SAW/TRI OUTPUT socket is -2V to +8V when a true sawtooth wave is produced, and ±2.5V when a triangle wave is produced." Would it be possible to modify the oscillator to have uniform amplitude in triangle/saw morph? Is there amplitude change in sine shaping? 2. Despite soon getting an Eowave Persephone, I am interested in your French Connection. In the video linked below, it seems, that a real Ondes Martenot can switch between keyboard and ribbon pitch control without a toggle switch. Perhaps the keyboard is overriding the ribbon... http://www.cmusge.ch/recherche/zea/video/martenot/7.mov This doesn't seem to be possible with the French Connection...? 3. Like Ondes Martenot, the French Connection has depressions and studs on the fingerboard for tactile feedback. I wonder, if they could be distracting sometimes: If "total freedom" regarding pitch control is wanted, would it be better not to have them? After all they are not needed in trombone (my main instrument) for example. Of course, I am aware, that Ondes Martenot/French Connection is an established design, which has survived some time... I am asking, if French Connection could be customized to have two changeable fingerboards - one standard and one without depressions and studs? 4. If you have time, can you explain the microtonal technique used in this video?: http://www.cmusge.ch/recherche/zea/video/martenot/22.mov 5. It may be against your policy to answer this: Where should I purchase your modular synth components? I am looking for an european dealer as I live in Finland. Googling doesn't help much.
