FYI,
I received a reply from another forum post, and another person has had
the same problem with ONLY the a-190 in a Asys case.
The issue probably has to do with the fact that the a190 is sending cv
and gate messages over the bus pins, and the Asys case isn't built to
accept them. if you look at the 190 pcb, there's a place to cut leads
to disable those messages.
Another interesting item was that the fuse does not blow when the
module is plugged in to any of the right four Doepfer connectors, but
still doesn't work. Checking with a multimeter, the current is the
same for both the left and right set of connectors, so I'm still
puzzled why the left side blows a fuse and the right side doesn't.
Conclusion : The A-190 is being shipped back, and were going with an
alternative solution.
