RS3 and Rs3000.......terminalogy the same?

Is the RS3 and and RS3000 the samething just listed different on different sites. If so what is the difference between the System 1 and System 3 or RS3? If its only the CV/MIDI converter then a Kenton SOLO would be alot cheaper.
