Analogue systems

I am the beginner of the Analogue system. I just don't know how to 
use the rs130 in the right method. Anybody can suggest some patching 
techinques for that? Actually I just want to use it as a Quantiser, 
But not really work. I patch the cv signal to rs 130 but can't get 
even-tempered semitone . Anybody can help me?
