New to analogue/modular synthesis and new here :)

2004-02-18 by lightmagus2004

hello thought i would just introduce myself and say hello, so, hello.

my name is mark and i am a student in london studying music
technology and recently sold my access virus c and purchased an
integrator system 1.

I am lovin it already but i am finding myself still thinking on 2
dimensions, hence every time i try to create something new i end up
with the same old sound, or something very similar.

So what i am really after is pictures of patches, any tips for
analogue virgins on creating some excellent bass sounds, leads,
weird fx (love the drill one :)) etc etc etc.

and i might as well tell you lot now, i plan on making a nuisance of
myself with several questions every day so please be patient.

ok enough of my drivvle, thanks in advance.

Mark

hello :)

its funny but everyone who sits in front of my system 1 does something
completely different. i tend to hit record and just start patching, i go
back later and find all kinds of excellent sounds to sample. if your
looking to create a particular sound try the sound on sound synth tips
guides, the are very good and sometimes even use AS kit to deomnstrate the
ptaching..

www.sospubs.co.uk

but the great thing with the modular kit is that you can plug almost
anything into anything, just get yourself a load of patchleads and a big
pot of coffee and do all the things you couldnt do on your virus..

personally i love the self oscillating envelopes!
