French Connection cv calibration

French Connection cv calibration

2004-03-31 by Gary Chang

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here could give me a heads up on tweeking
the scale calibration on my French Connection?

I can see three trim pots - cv zero, cv gain, and control zero.

I am sure that there is a routine involved in adjustment of these
trimpots - just as there is on a 2600 keyboard.

Thanks ahead of time...!

Thanks to Bob and Les for getting in touch with me witht the
calibration routine. Les tried to post this note on the internet,
but, for some reason, was unable to. So, here is the note.

Hi Gary,
I posted a reply to the analogue_systems Yahoo group but it seems to
 have been lost in transit.

To calibrate the keyboard play the bottom C and adjust the CV zero
pot for exactly 0V out. Now play the third C and adjust CV gain until
you get exactly 3V. Play the bottom C again and check the zero hasn't
moved. If the calibration is badly out you may have to adjust CV zero
and gain a few times to get it exactly right. Control zero sets the
zero for the button. Ideally you should have between -0.1V and 0V when
the button is up.

I hope that helps,
 Les
