RS370/375 first impressions...
2004-06-08 by (i think you can figure that out)
Yesterday at Big City Music I had an opp to spend about 10 minutes with the Analogue Systems RS370 Six voice polyphonic DSP based digital VCO (and ADSR...and Midi to CV...and Argeggiator) along with the 375 Expander, and I've got to say - I'm impressed. For those who have lusted for a true six voice polyphonic VCO (each voice has it's own envelope and VCA pair) that submits willfully to the whims of a modular analog synthesizer...your boat has arrived. I'm uncomfortable to say too much about it until I've had another session or two with it, as I'm deathly afraid of saying something daft due to not fully understanding this complex module pair, but I will say it's rich, robust, fully programmable, has an arpeggiator that behaves a lot like the Jupiter, six fully controllable digital complex envelope generators, an idiot proof interface and currently on top of my ever-updating gear ust list. I'll post more information when I can. - P
