Where can I get more info on the Demon midi keyboard

Where can I get more info on the Demon midi keyboard

2007-07-05 by TacocaT

I'd like to know more of the features of the Demon.

The product page here has very littled info and no link to a manual:
http://www.bigcitymusic.com/product.asp?cat=new&pid=1000100

That pages lists the following features:
    * New colorfully backlit acrylic wheels!
    * Midi-interface
    * CV and gate outputs
    * Extensive triggering and priority options

I'm curious about the "New colorfully backlit acrylic wheels", what
does this look like? The 'old' model of Demons don't have wheels at
all. Is this keyboard touch sensative? does it have after touch? what
are some of the "Extensive triggering" options? Can this keyboard be
used to control a 4 voice analogue synth? How about an 8 or 2 voice?

My goal is to control a 2 or 4 voice analogue synth. I already have a
midi keyboard that has touch sensativity so i'm trying to see if it
makes more sense to look into midi-to-cv devices but if the Demon
offers enough features over my midi keyboard then i don't mind
spending (or saving up) the extra cash.

thanks.

i own a new demon it is absolutley beautifull the wheels change colers as they are moved pitch goes blue purple red mod goes blue to green ..when you say voices do you mean polyphony it is not polyphonic the midi controllers on the left only work with the midi signals comeing in from the midi sockets..... say if you were useing the demon as a midi to cv converter if i understand correctly . it is not touch sensative !!! it does have transpose and slew amongst other things listed
    good luck

Hi, If you already have a midi keyboard that has touch sensitivity, and
you want more voices, I would look into the RS370. This is one of the
most advanced cv/midi converter ever made, and you will also be Introduced
to the P.P.G world, additive synthesis, and you will bee have a 6 voice
cv/midi converter.
It also features an internal digital synth that you can modulate in every
way you want.
PS! I recommend that you purchase the expander as well.
Be well!

thanks for the info,

I am definetly wanting to buy something that can convert midi to a 4
voice CV output (1 midi controller and 4 1v/oct outs and 4 velocity cv
outs).

Do you know how the RS370 compares to the MOTM midi-to-cv
(http://synthtech.com/motm650.html). The motm module features 16bit
DAC for the pitch and 10bit "octal" DAC for the velocity of the
voices. Do you know any technical specs on the RS370 such as the DAC
accuracy?

thanks
