there is one of small tutorial which was written by me for bcf users on cubase on kvr have a look at it its the same for bcr too i post it here am able to control all the vst parameters with the knobs in the bcf and volume by faders for the start. i am also able to control the mixer in host cubase in same mode (ncc) for it the requirement is to have midiyoke and huskervu ( a software similar to bcfview). install midiyoke first switch on the bcf in nnc mode by pressing 2nd button while powerup. now start the huskervu application( for installing this free utility u need ms net framework 1.1.432 which u can download by googling). then power up cubase sx3/ nuendo 3. in the device tab and device setup add mackie control as remote. configure input: bcf2000 (01) and output as midiyoke:1 . rightclick on huskervu blue interface configure midi input as midiyoke:1 and midi output as bcf 2000 now press ok on device setup in cubase. huskervu must show cubase version and pan left right or something. next step is to add a newproject and midi track . in track parameters if u have a midi keyboard configure it as in and vst as out huskervu will show your miditracks and what vst u have chosen vst1 on and vst name now for controlling the vst parameter all u need to do is press first encoder button and learn . huskervu will show the parameters u wanna constrol and page no like 01/03 . press second encoder button to switch the page and parameter and then turn the corresponding knobs in bcf to change the parameter. when u turn the knobs the knob in vst also turns and thats all. i am yet to use the generic mode. i dunno the pros and cons of mackie emulation. i just know only what i have told u people. i suppose this is the same method used in bcr2000 as well. and i know its a little hard in configuring and knowing about bcf as the manual is the most stupidest thing i have seen in the world. speaks volumes of theory and and absolutely no practical applicability. if some one can write details about how to configure this bcf 2000 in generic mode in a very simple way right from scratch one i would be so thankful. as for now i am watching this thread. if u have any clarification please do pm me or send a mail to draskum@.... ill be more than willing to share what i know --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "colinp2001" <fritz.frog@...> wrote: > > HELP! > > I've just purchased a BCR2000 and am having a nightmare with it.
