Yes, of course I tried this! I have also installed stutterbrain's
generic remote solution, BCR Performer (which has a nice GUI) as well
as some VST plugin chainers.

I tried the demo of MCX and it seems to work similar to Novation's
"Automap Universal", just without the "auto"... ;-)
