Hi
most synths use sysex to transmit their values.
I think you probably use sysex from the BC to your synth as well.

You could program a BC button to send a sysex message to the synth to request the new preset data, but it would be sent from the synth in sysex form.

The setting of values on the BC via Midi can only be done with simple Midi messages like Continuous Controller and the BC preset must use .easypar (Mark's editor - don't use 'Learn').

You can program the BC with a combination of .easypar and .tx ('Learn'), but you'll transmit CC messages as well as your sysex, which may not be a problem.

You would need to write a computer program that took the synth preset data and converted the values into Midi CC messages to send to the BC to set the Leds.

This is an frequent request. What is really needed is the BC to be set up as a easypar CC controller only and have a PC program sitting in the middle between the synth and the BC.
BC CC values -> PC convert to sysex -> synth
Synth Sysex -> PC convert to CC values -> BC

You might be able to do it with Bome's Midi translator.
Let me know how you get on.
