The BCR2000 imposes a limit of 16384 BCL messages per "chain" (i.e. any sequence of related SysEx-BCL messages), because each SysEx-BCL message contains a 14-bit BCL chain index, running from 0 to 16383.

However, BC Manager allows you to work around this limit in several ways:

1. Save your presets to a txt (or bc2) file rather than to a syx file. (Select txt/bc2 via the B-Controls window's "Save As" operation in the "Save as type" box.)

2. If you want to SEND all those presets to the BCR2000 itself, send them in groups, e.g. first send presets 1-16, then 17-32.

A more fundamental solution might be to have BC Manager treat every individual preset as a separate chain, when saving to a syx file or sending to the BCR itself.
However, I'm not sure whether the resulting syx file would be "valid", i.e. compatible with Behringer's own BC-Edit. (Assuming for a moment that anyone still cares about BC-Edit!)
In any case Behringer's own syx files (e.g. bcr_FACTORY_PRESETS.syx) treat all presets as a single chain.
I'll think about it...

Mark.
