Matschdreck, Since I don't have Live 7, I can't help you much more than give advice. I think I saw that you are using the dpots, so you should try using the dbank knob to see if you get to the next bank, NOT the mackie bank buttons. Once you know the command to get it to bank properly, you can stack that command on the mackie bank keys. Try using encoder 49 from my/stephan's preset 22 - bcr_live_ver5_0bvpot It is called dev.bank. I don't know if that will do it for you tho. Or look at the preset in Live 7 control surface and find out which control they have to change the sends. Since I can't see it I can't help there. I mean in the lessons of Live on the right hand side window thing. Look there, I think, unless that changed in Live 7. Look at that preset you can send to bcr from live. There must be a bank key or device bank key something will do it. ... --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "matschdreck" <matschdreck@...> wrote: > > The issue seems to be more tricky than i thought. > > > I think I understand what you are after for sends. > > You want two rows of knobs for sends, one send A and the other for send B. > > You want them to follow the banks and be assigned to tracks 1-8 then bankable to 9-16 etc, to feel like a standard mixing console, is that correct? > > Yes, thats what i was looking for. > > > I can't remember if the native bcr preset for Live supports send levels. Very useful. Besides, id rather take the solution with the v-pots than to have only one row of bankable sends. So i guess i simply stick with my preset as it is. Actually, it was my own fault, with the solos. I have overlooked, that the velocity value was 1. You live and learn. I again saw on your (kip) mackie command set, that the solos were indeed Note 8-15, so i thought the fault must be somewhere in my own adjustment. > > > > > I still cant make the Sends follow the < Bank > Buttons. And the LED display of the Pans dont react properly, so i had to turn them off. Similar problem with the LEDs of the Buttons (Solo and Record_Arm). They react correctly if the buttons are pushed on the screen with the mouse, but when hit on the BCR itself, sometimes they react, mostly not. But really, thats just peanuts. > > > > > Apart from that everything is fine. Finally my BCR makes sense. And it wasnt even that difficult with BC manager, once you understand the meaning. Copy&Paste. Its so great all these people working on this things. I dont think i would have got there, without the internet. At least not this fast. But now...deluxe. > > > > > > > > > > > I'm interested in you revision, I seem to have an addiction to mackie emulation I just can't shake. > > > > > > > > > > I dont know if i understood correctly. What does "revision" mean is this case? (i dont worry about your addiction). You mean, you would like to know how i arranged my preset? I made/need/like it this way, because i use my laptop more as a recording interface, rather than as a dj or live performing tool. Thats why i need fast checks on the pan, mute, solo, rec and sends on each channel quick hand. Clipfires and dpots are very acceptable add ons though. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "k5kip_1999" <k5kip_1999@> wrote: > > > > > > > > > > > > Hey, > > > > > > > > > > > > It is early - and I am slammed with home projects today - > > > > > > I will have to read you email in more detail to try to understand what you are doing. > > > > > > Go to my GenMce page http://shoshin.110mb.com/genmce > > > > > > and I have a link to the mackie command set at > > > > > > http://shoshin.110mb.com/genmce/mackie_commands/Mackie_commands.htm > > > > > > > > > > > > Thanks for the praise! I am not even half way there, but somehow it is fun trying. The templates from kip were very helpful so far, really great piece of work. But i would like to get a different assignment to the knobs, so its more suitable to my workflow. I have trouble finding the right midi notes for the solo switches. Which notes do i need to assign to the buttons, so they control the "Solo" switches of the channels? I read that mackie uses Note 8-15 for the solos but no effect there. Any suggestions? > > > > > > > Then, is there a possibility to assign the push-encoder row to permanently control the channels pan AND mute, and then assign them in one of the other Encoder Groups to Clip Arms at the same time? Or wait, first, how to assign their encoder funktion to Pan? I managend to match their push-funktion to mute, but i cant find the pans for their encoder funktion at the same time. > > > > > > > Plus i would like to assign the 1st and 2nd encoder rows to send A and send B (just like abletons map for BCR) but in a way, the bank<> buttons have an effect on these.
