Just use two shift registers. I've done a controller for my arduino to read and write to my eeprom (and it works) (got to set analog pins as digital). I also got the dump file of a 1.10 version (from someone that wants to remain anonymous). Just got some transmissions problem (some bytes are not correctly written to the chip). So trying to recover these... I think I'm writing too fast for my EMI-unprotected flying cables circuit.
