Hi guys, anybody ever tried controlling any of AFM synths from Yamaha (SY77, SY99, TG77) from BCR2000? While some aspects of the synthesis engine are really "digital" (like feedback loop - only seven values, with rather distinctive jumps from 4 to 7), I think some of them would be quite nice to have under the knobs. I keep attacking FM every now and then and I really think it would take a great advantage of more "hands-on" control. Some examples would include controlling the output levels of operators, as well as parameters of envelope generators; maybe tuning the operators, or even selecting their waveshapes. Of course it can be done only thru SysEx. Yes, I've heard about NI FM7 and FM8 :-) But I still prefer hardware... Anyway, any feedback on this would be interesting, I hope not only for me. (I was also thinking about controlling Korg Wavestation, but apart from using two knobs for joystick movements I cannot come up with any other ideas. I find the patch architecture of WS highly cumbersome - while the sound is very convincing, the way of organizing the stuff make it the Rube Goldberg machine of all synths *ever*.) Regards, Bruno
