Not sure how many people use this, but just incase I added a preset at http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bc2000/files/Presets/AKAI_MINIAK/ Basically, I tested this against a Miniak, and via Miniaktools (current private beta) to ensure that the screen was updated in agreement with BCR/Miniak. The BCR and Miniak just about agree. Couple of bugs in MiniakTools have been found, that I will correct. I hope to improve on this template. Essentially, because so much of the Miniak (and I guess this template would work with the Micron) is non-standard, I have to use a few tricks. For example, send LSB for 7bit range NRPN buttons. But I havent done the trick of a fake easypar to "sync" the ++/-- buttons. For truely -ve range buttons/encoders you cant use this trick. Until either Behringer bring out a S14 type, or someone learns how to take Willem's BCR hacking framework and modify the firmware. It's not a big deal though. I mean, there are sufficient knobs/presets that two adjacent knobs (either row or column wise) can me -ve range and +ve range respectively. So I have exposed: Preset 1 -- Osc1/2/3 (groups 1, 2, 3) voice (group 4) Buttons: poly/unison/F1-2, and various categories (drive, EXF types). The main pots control the levels and balances, meaning this first preset is quite powerful. Preset 2 -- Envs 1/2/3 (groups 1, 2, 3) F1/2, LFOs and SH (yes all the -ve/+ve ranges of each!) Preset 3 -- Track points -16 ... 0 via groups (1, ... 4) and one knobs in bottom right EFX control Preset 4 -- as 3, but TP 0 -- 16 (-ve and +ve ranges) Preset 5 -- Mod source 1 ... 6 (1 .. 4 via encoder groups) Preset 6 -- Mod source 7 .. 12 I have tried to make it as intuitive as I can. Thanks for the replies with the PDF. I still didnt get to grips with their template. Just how hard is it to align text under a button! I feel a mini project for my daughter coming on. So this is on the "to do". Obviously, read it into the BC Manager to move any buttons/knobs around. Regards Steve H
