I have been doing some development on a bcr2000 plug for sonar and what I can tell you is that daw does not send out cc# from the plugs or internal fx. You need to get/write a plug to do it as least in the case of sonar.

Greetings,
Recently purchased a BCR-2000 to have hardware control of plugins in Nuendo.
Unfortunately when I select generic controller in Nuendo, I don't see any parameter feedback being generated, i.e. it doesn't appear that the plugin is sending out any MIDI when I manipulate one of the buttons, for example the ratio knob on a compressor. This makes it impossible to use the LEARN function on the BCR2000.
However, I would be more than happy to program these encoders/keys myself but I need to know what MIDI values are attached to what functions. I wanted to know what software (if any) I can use with Nuendo so that when I change one of the plugin parameters I can see what MIDI cc# (or other) it is coming from?
Also, the manual does not do a good job of explaining how to use the software from the Behringer site with the BCR2000. I bought this used and would like to erase the presets the previous owner created but there is no mention of how to do this, or even how to load one of the presets you can download from the site.
I am completely new at MIDI so please bear with me on my learning curve and simple explanations would be appreciated as I don't know the jargon.
Thank you all kindly and here's looking to reading your replies....
Cheers!Message
