Except that (if I'm not mistaken) the Microsoft USB driver for W7 is single-client, which means that you can't access its MIDI I/O ports from multiple applications simultaneously.
And its port names are highly generic, which can get very confusing, especially in mode U-3 and/or with multiple BCFs/BCRs.

The Behringer drivers (for XP and W7 alike) are multi-client.
The Behringer drivers for XP (particularly 1.2.1.3) generate very informative port names; the Behringer driver for W7 is "in between" in this respect.
