BCR2000 and V Amp Pro

2007-05-01 by John

Hello all,

I need some help programming my BCR2000 to control a V Amp Pro. What
I'm looking for is the MIDI messages that control the Amp bypass, the
Cabinet bypass, the Modulation FX bypass and the Delay FX bypass. I
know you can use the CC numbers that Behringer provides, but with this
method you have to set a minimum and maximum value, so when you turn
off the bypass, the control changes to the maximum value, not your
previous value. I would like to program behavior similar to the
Behringer's V Amp Software Editor which allows for a true A/B comparison.

I suspect that the V Amp is using NRPN's for these controls, but they
are not listed in the Manual. Can anyone help?

Also, I'm new to this level of MIDI editing, so if you can keep it
simple, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

P.S. Has anyone else had difficulty getting the V Amp Software Editor
to recognize a V Amp when it's connected through a BCR2000? I
couldn't get it to work so I hooked my V Amp through another MIDI port
I have. Maybe I was foolish to believe that two devices manufactured
by the same company would be compatible. Any insights?
