Anyone using BCR with a Tascam 2488?

Hi there
Newbie here. Not been lucky with a search for assistance so far but I want to use my BCR2000 to gain easier control of my Tascam 2488 hardware. Can anyone help me cut through the jargon here please? 
Any help much appreciated.
