Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hi, I'm hoping I can do the following:

Use my BCR in either USB or MIDI mode to control my hardware synths through Ableton Live. Does anyone use theirs this way? It uses Live to essentially patch the BCR to a given synth. So far, I can't get it going (I've tried every operating mode). I have a MIDI track set up to receive input from the BCR and I then set the same tracks output to an external synth. Does this not seem possible?
