Oh, are you in for some disappointment. I recently posted a message on this topic (so search the archives - it was fairly recent).

Basically, you have two options with Sonar 6:

A) Run in Mackie emulation mode
B) Run in non-emulation mode (what is this called? Normal mode?) and use ACT.

ACT is more flexible, but the communication is only one-way - from controller to Sonar (so if you move a fader in your BCF2000, Sonar reacts, but if you move a fader in Sonar, nothing will happen on your BCF2000)

Subject: [bc2000] Hey all! Calling all Sonar users...

I'm a newbie here the same way I'm new to using BCF2000. Yesterday I
plugged it in for the first time, upgraded the firmware to 1.1 and
launched the ran BCF on MCU emulation mode from within Sonar 6PE.
It's very cool but some controls are really illogical and I would
love to have them changed. Is there any other possibility to maintain
the 2-way control and at the same dit edit the controls (especially
Solo/Arm functions are very illogical and not easy to access. How do
you SOnar users have your BCFs set up in Sonar?
 Thanks for your feedback!
 Mika
