Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hi,

I've got my BCR-2000 a couple of years back, and after many different
emails to people around the world I've managed to get it to a 'usable'
stage. 

I use it with Cubase SX3, utilising the flexible Generic Remote in
order to come up with lots of templates/presets for various controls. 

An example of what I have is a few different Cubase Mix controls,
templates for Kontakt 2 & Battery 2. But the template that I spent the
most time on in editing is for various VST's plugins in the insert chain. 

Basically, I use 8 effects plugins in the insert chain quite a bit in
my projects and controlling this via my BCR was a challenge!
Essentially, after extensive .xml editing, I can control any amount of
VST effects (right now I've only set up 8 VST effects) in any of the 8
insert slots in the Cubase mixer. 

Let's say I want to use the Double Delay plugin that came with SX3 in
insert slot 1, 2 or slots 3 - 8 - a few button presses later and I'm
controlling the VST effect without a problem. Even if I had 100
different VST effects plugins I would be able to control these in any
slots (albeit after quite an extensive .xml editing session)! 

The point that I'm trying to make (there's a couple!) is that after
lurking through these forums reading various posts its very obvious
that finding info on the Behringer controller series is very difficult
and time consuming. Lots of different people use different editing
programs (I use the BCFEdit by Birdy), or have completely different
setups etc. This can be quite daunting – I'm no whiz on MIDI
programming and quite frankly I would love to explore other ways or
using my controller but I am hesitant because all of the info
presented is all over the web, and sometimes not clear. Sometimes it's
presented in a way that assumes a reader would understand it all. 

I own another program called Serato Scratch Live. One member of the
forum took the initiative to start a Scratch Live wiki

Wouldn't it be nice if all the info that this group has collectively
gathered/programmed/ etc could be arranged and placed on 1 page,
logically, easy to find etc?

Like I said before, I'm no whiz with MIDI, nor am I a whiz with coming
up with a wiki page (although it might be easy), but I would be
willing to contribute to putting this page together if anyone else is
willing. 

I've seen another page today (behringerusers.com) which I thought was
a thriving community – I hastily signed up and realised that no-one
has visited that page in a long time. 

Essentially once the page is up and running, anyone can come in and
add or edit. 

It would be nice if this page was the `End-all-and-be-all' of all
Behringer BCX-2000 pages. 

A Behringer BCx-2000 wiki - anyone up for this?
