Anyone with a Behringer BCF & BCR tried this?

I just ordered the pair today, and it looks by the pictures that 
their "end caps" can be taken off.

Has anyone done a Frankenstien and somehow "bolted" them 
together 'sans' middle end caps to make one unit??
