Yes .resolution 12 = resolution 12 12 12 12

But only 12 of them and the rotation would not match the LEDmovement
The LED spacing is roughly 360/16 = 22.5 degrees
So the resolution might be better at .resolution 16 to match the LED movement

If it is just the same MIDI message then no.
You can overwrite aspects of easypar anyway.
The range, for example, can be overwritten by using .minmax and so you can get signed values even in.easypar
