Just got my bcr and bcf yesterday. Pretty impressive.
I was able to get up and running with the bcf using Mackie Control
emulation in cubase sx3.
Pretty cool that I can make different mixer setups in different
workspaces(screensets)and the bcf jumps the the positions when you
jump to the workspace.
So I can make any type of mixer config and jump to it at any time.
Very cool.
Tried mixing some, made a difference to try things, get a real "feel"
for the music!

So far haven't did anything with the bcr. I'll have to learn how to
get it setup as a generic device. I want to control EQ plugins on VSTi
with it. Haven't seen how to know what it's putting out or if it
doesn't put out anything until I tell it. I think the generic remote
in Cubase expects volume CC's on different channels for fader 1,2,
etc. I need to download Midi-ox and see what's going on, been a long
time since I used that program.

I've been doing some reading here, looks like lots of good info,

Nice Place!

Thanks

Had to find a place to put the bc machines, this is what I came up with:
http://tacman7.com/bcf/

So started playing with the R model last night.

I was able to control an eq after I looked to see what was coming out
of the bcr with midi-ox.

So it works fine and all.

But that's a lot of configuration. A lot of the posts here explain how
to set it up and all but I'm not seeing (maybe I'm not looking in the
right place) anything about overall strategy, paradigm.

Can anyone add an eq or other generic remote controlled effect to
cubase and get it to work by loading a previously saved generic remote?

I can have the bcf all setup sending the right stuff for what I want
but seems like I'm going to have to set the eq controls in cubase
unless I use the exact same location for the effect. Seems like adding
another track above the track your working on shifts everything.

Has anyone made overlays for different fx?

I could put an EQ in its own bus at the top of the program and use
that in a template so it wouldn't move...maybe or have I got something
wrong here?

Any help appreciated, Thanks
