Cascading

I have a BCF2000 that I'm using as a control surface for Sonar 8.5. Whats the advantages to cascading another BCF or BCR to it. Any more control I would have in sonar?

I'm not 100% positive, but I think I would place the BCF in Mackie emulation so the faders worked, and I would also add a BCF and use it with Sonar's ACT.

Oh boy you went & done it now Jeff. Got me thinking about it now. Trying to figure out if it would be beneficial or not.

I haven't tried this myself yet. I own botgh a BCF and a BCR, and Sonar Home Studio 6 XL. I originally tried to use Sonar with my BCF using ACT, but since ACT is only one directional I didn't care for this. Everything I read says to use the BCF in Mackie mode with Sonar. I havn't tried this yet, but it seems in doing so one loses the ability to tweak paraemters in virtual synths, so it seems to me that one could use both, with the BCF in Mackie mode. Though I haven't tried it yet.

Over on the Cakewalk forum Jeff theres a thread that recommends using a BCF for Mackie & a BCR for ACT. If you used a BCF in ACT the motorized faders & pushbuttons would be a waste as it works best with rotary knobs. A guy named AJ did up a program to use the BCR in Sonar ACT & says it works quite well. So I guess it'll be a BCF & BCR for me.
