Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hi... dumb question follows:
I can set up the remote so that I can run both the mixer transport and
parameters of some vsts... a compressor for example.
And it works very nicely.
But when I try to open an existing project, add the vst effect on the
same insert slot etc - the vst doesnt respond, and when I look at the
generic remote in the bottom window, the control has the message "tag:
4201" (without quotes) - instead of the effect parameter, ie "ratio"
I have to then reconfigure the bottom window of the generic remote ...
and again it all works nicely.
It seems I have to configure the remote every time I open a
project...What am I doing wrong? (I am 'applying' changes)

... as Ive since learned this is the 'generic remote implementation'
... and Im using or modyfing an xml template for projects which have
various numbers of tracks. I have set up a gigantic template xml with
all the stuff in it I might need. Thanks
