assign a group of 8 encoders to 1on/off button/encoder?

Hello,
How would I assign a group of 8 encoders to one push encoder?
What I am after is to assign 8 midi CC functions to encoders #1-#8, that would be assigned to push encoder #1 and be activated when I push on it.
then assign the same 8 encoders (with different functions)to push button encoder #2.
Something like what the 4 encoder groups do, each one is activated with a simple push on of 4 buttons, giving you 4 different groups.
So 8 top encoders would each 'activate' 8 groups of functions..

I need it, because I have this virtual instrument that has 6 tracks =6 pages with same 8 functions...6x choose sample, 6x sample start, etc.
even though they are same functions, they have different midi number.

TIA
PS If I did not explained myself clearly, i'll try again

I don't think what you are after can be done.

So if I understand correctly you would like extra Group buttons.
I don't think you would get the result you wanted.
You could program a Button to reprogram the Encoders but you would have to connect the input of the BC to the output. Interesting idea.

I think what would be easier is to have multiple BC presets with only the top row different. And you can move between them using the preset < > buttons
There is a problem because the other controllers would have different values on each of the other presets, but it might work for you.

I did something like this for the DX7 preset as there are 6 operators to work with and wasn't so bad.
