BCF2000 and XV-5050

I am trying to control a XV-5050 (Roland Sound Module) with the BCF2000.
My keyboard control is a Roland RD-300s . I am so lost, I have no idea where to start. I also have a Yamaha MO6 that I want to connect with it also, and have the XV-5050 and Mo^ in Multitimbral and using the first 4 banks to control the sounds th XV and the next 4 banks to control the MO6...but I figured it would be best to learn how to use the BCF2000 with one piece of hardware at a time before I try get them working together.
So now what I am trying to achieve is
1. Patch Mode Control - As much controls as I can assign in patch mode. Chorus, Reverb, LFO, Freq Mod, cutoff, etc....basically whatever I can just to learn how to do it.
2. Performance Mode Control - I would like to be able to multiple parts at once and be able to mute or adjust volume on each part with the faders.
I'm not even sure how the midi in/outs should be connected. I have it setup like this at the moment.
RD-300s out to in on BCF2000
BCF2000 out A to in on XV-5050
XV-5050 out to in on RD-300s
Also have installed USB Driver 1.2.1.3
BCEdit and BC Manager
