Connect PCR-500 to logic through BFC

Please excuse any procedural gaffs etc I may make and direct me appropriately if necessary. I'm a newbie to using forums. I would like to utilize the BFC USB connection between my Imac/Logic Pro 9 for both my BFC and the control surface and keyboard of my Edirol PCR-500 (discontinued Roland model). I have my BFC working properly in logic via Mackie Emulation and I can currently have my PCR fully functional (both control surface and keyboard) via it's direct USB to the computer. My problem is that I'm Utilizing all my full thru-put usb outlets and I need one available for other connections. (usb port is not an option as i have too many devices that need to be directly connect to IMac in order to work properly via USB 2.0 at full thru-put) I a therefore trying to utilize the USB connection of the BFC only and connect both functions of the PCR via its midi out to the BFC and then through it, to the computer. Fool that I am, I bought both devices at the same time and they are both famous for under-documentation (I'm not sure that's true, I think it just requires a deeper understanding of midi and terminology) Anyway, I would like to get the BFC setup correctly to deal with this and therefore, as I troublshoot to get everything working together, I will only have to consider the variables of the PCR. I have currently tried to connect the PCR MIDI out to the BFC MIDI IN (I have external power for both devices) and therefore utilize the BFC USB connection to the computer for both simultaneously. I have no indication anywhere that the either of the devices actually sees the other. IMAC/LOGIC see the BFC, but are not registering anything from either the PCR Keyboard or its controller surface. Any assistance in getting them correctly connected to each other and functioning would be appreciated. I have a great deal of IT/MIS experience, but it's all on PC's, dated, and I am now disabled and on some powerful medications that basically act as "Stupid Pills" also. I figure I'm about the IQ of a turnip while on them, and that's always. I thought of going the other direction and running the BFC to the PRC via it's midi out, but that seemed counter intuitive, and as it is discontinued, there is not a great deal of support for it (the keyboard is fantastic on it by the way). Knowledge or opinions on any order of operations to resolve this task would be greatly appreciated.
