bcr 2000+footswitch sending midi CC - to use it as a filter knob within VST ins

bcr 2000+footswitch sending midi CC - to use it as a filter knob within VST ins

2011-06-20 by filipovske

Hey,
I own bcr2000, I can plug a footswitch and program it to send midi note on/off, but what kind of (inexpensive) footswitch I have to buy to be able to send cc communicate via bcr 2000 ??
Could it work as a wah-wah with amplitube or as a filter cutoff with vst synth, etc ?

thank you in advance

As I recall the BCR foot control can only be used as an On/Off switch

You can assign any values to the on and off state, but not continuous control.
The BCF2000 can have continuous values.

As far as what pedals are available, all you need is any cheap damper(sustain) pedal from Ebay.

I need to grab fcb1010 (behringer) it seems there's nothing cheaper on the market, and it has 2 pedals sending midi cc

thanks again
and have a lovely day

If you decide to get a FCB1010 check out the Uno Yahoo group.
There is a program chip to replace Behringer's effort that is much better. Not only have the bugs been fixed but there are lots of extra features.

You can download the code and burn it yourself if you have the facilities or you can get one for a few dollars ready to go.

You just have to unscrew the case pull out the old chip and push in the new one , screw the case back up again. There are detailed instructions in the Uno FCB1010 file section.

I have had a one for a few years now to play my Yamaha WX7 and it has been great.

There are volume foot-pedals that you could add to a MidiSolutions box and that would also work.

All the best
