Newbie Here - Looking Into BC Purchase

Hello all. I don't have any BC yet, but I've recently got Sonar X1 and am looking for some type of controller that costs a lot less than the VS700. There seems to be enough knowledge on this Yahoo Group to help me decide. Thanks to All the uploaders etc.
