White BCF2000

Morning!

Interesting to see Behringer is now producing a white version of its
fader box. I wonder if there are any changes other than the purely
cosmetic?

It would be nice if they gave their software a similar overhaul. I'd
love to see something that made parameter assignment a little more
intuitive, and perhaps something that used synth profiles to
automatically assign the most common parameters to the same BCF and
BCR controllers - cutoff, resonance, envelopes, etc.

Have a good weekend!

Graham

Hi !

Dream on, mate ;o)

contacted Behringer months ago (was in touvh with their Ev team,
actually) and nothing new is planned OS-wise.

Same with their editor which has been beta since the beginning and
won't be further developed. Same with the Steinberg Remote SDK :
they will not develop a native Cuabse mode.

Shame this product is so good value for manoey but the developement
is so crappy. This is really a problem with behringer. They still
have not understood that the BCx are computer products that need
continuous dev, as opposed to purely hadware products.

Cheers.
Jérôme

PS : I wrote a huge tutorial about the BCF2000 about a year ago,
which has been widely used in France, but I have no time to
translate it into English. If someone has the time to do it, I'll be
happy to share it. It is a big PDF explaining how to set it up and
use it in Mackie emu with cubase and also I managed to control other
functions using a generic remote script alongside tha Mackie script
(I can open/close plugin windows, and other things).

I think that Behringer understands that BCx is a computer product that
needs continuous development, it's just that they simply don't care...

Cheers,
Dave
