Hi, as the title says, I'm a new BCR2000 user, having just realised what an amazing machine it is. I would like to be able to control my Yamaha AN1x and my Novation Nova, but don't want to start programming if someone has already done most of the hard work. Also, is there a definitive list of gear controllable by the BCx2000 (that is, with existing controller maps) or is such a thing called 'Google'...?

I have both synths you mention as well and would be interested in creating them as well. I'm not sure if the Nova would really need one though. The interface on the Nova is very intuitive; however, I could definitely see the benefits for live use. The AN1x on the other hand could definitely use one. Have you downloaded the software editor for the AN1x? That would provide good ideas as to the layout for the BCR2000 if there isn't a preset available. I don't think there is a preset for the AN1x on the AN1x yahoo group nor have a I come across one on this group yet. Currently my BCR2000 is solely dedicated to controlling my JX-8P. --- In bc2000@...m, "twobeelandscape" <bill@...> wrote:

Hi djo, thanks for your thoughts. I thought it would at least be worth trying to edit the Nova via the BCR - those 32 knobs are begging to offer easy parameter access. As for the AN1X, the fact that its onboard knob matrix is 2x4 knob with 8 scenes, suggests that it would be very easy to resolve the knob layout for the 4x8 knob BCR. In fact the AN1X manual even sets them out for us: p54, Knob parameters - 8 columns by 8 rows. So that part is easy :-) I notice that the BC Manager software (see elsewhere in this group) has some settings for the very similar Yamaha AN200 module, so I will look at those sometime, but I haven't got my head around the BC Manager yet. I have disciplined myself that I can't really start playing with the BCR2000 until some important (paying) work is complete, but if I make any progress with the AN1X, I will obviously post back here. Any other thoughts welcome in the meantime. Bill --- In bc2000@yahoogroups.com, "djo3yk" <djo3yk@...> wrote:
