Help - I can't write Presets to BCR-2000 using BC Editor

2012-04-22 by daz303@rocketmail.com

I recently purchased a BCR2000 and had a bit of a play with it yesterday.... not much good news to report I'm afraid. I'm posting another question on a separate topic after this.... not a good day.

Anyway - I wanted to upload a JX8P preset to the BCR so I downloaded a 8P sysex patch. I Booted up BC Editor and I could import the patch into the Editor section but the option to load the patch to the Hardware section (ie. the BCR) was greyed out... I also found that the load function was greyed out in the Option menu of the BC Editor.

There are some midi maps on the Ableton Live website that I want to upload but I've hit a roadblock...

I'm missing something and yes - I've read (and re-read) the @#$%^&& manual several times but I can't find the answer.

Can anyone please help? Is there an idiot step-by-step guide out there for this idiot?? Is it a software/hardware/firmware glitch???

cheers
daz

ps - I know BC Editor isn't the best program... I looked at Midi-Ox but it did my head in.

Download this, hopefully, simple program that will load your sysex file and save it into a memory slot on the BC.
Sysex Loader.zip

(Group Files in the Application section)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
