Finally have success with BC Manager!!

Finally have success with BC Manager!!

2012-04-26 by daz303@rocketmail.com

Greeting all...

Well I am VERY happy and a little bit relieved to say that I've finally got BC manager to work.

In the end it resorted to brute force.... I uninstalled everything off the laptop and then re-installed a 64bit Win7 BCR driver, updated the BCR firmware to v1.10, reinstalled BC Manager, did a few re-boots and started all over again and this time it worked!!!

To everyone who has posted suggestions - a big THANKYOU!! I have now installed k5kip's Ableton preset v5.0a into preset 21 and 22 as per the instructions... BC manager installation worked perfectly.

I now have to play with the preset a little bit and see exactly what it controls in Ableton and I can't promise this will be the end of the problems (or my stupid questions!)

Questions for k5kip: (stupid question alert) does it matter which USB mode I use? Is U1 OK? Can I just use your v5.0a preset 'as is' or will I now also have to setup other programs eg Huskervu (or whatever the equivalent is now as husker isn't available anymore). I know you made a point of using LCD emulations progs to get the best out of this preset but...????

OK - time to go do some real work ... I will play with it later tonight (if you pardon the expression) and probably post a whole pile of questions (you lucky people!!!!!) :-)

thanks again

daz
