a few probs could do with a hand

a few probs could do with a hand

2007-05-08 by djrinsky

hi everyone..just joined this group...hopefully it can help me...ive
bought a bcf2000 and its really good...i installed all updates,
firmware and followed a good tutorial on dancetech, which got it
working quite well with sx3....in mackie emu mode...i have a few probs
that i need some help with though...sorry if this gets
confusing....well firstly the dancetech tutorial suggested opening the
sx3 template 24 track audio...which i did, and hey presto, the faders
moved, solos worked, arm track record and transport controls all
worked fine....i was just wondering, is there anyway that instead of
arm track record, can i get the bottom row of buttons to control
cubase's solo buttons instead...and if so how as i am quite clueless
with this thing....also for the life of me i cannot get the pan knobs
to control the pans in sx3 mixer....what do i do.......and just a few
other issues....when i want to add a few new channels of audio or midi
say 8 more(as ido everything in banks of 8) in sx3 how do i get the
bcf to create a new bank of 8 faders and start assigning the channels
to it on the preset up and down...it seems i only have 3 presets, cant
create a fourth......other than that everything seems to be ok, but
would love to get all of this sorted so its perfect...and if so how
would i save it on the bcf as a default template

cheers

tony

Hi

As far as im aware there is no way to edit the button or fader
functions when using mackie emulator mode, its built to clone the
control universal and the preset is not configurable.
I think the only way you will be able to create a set up that matches
your layout exactly is to create a customer preset with the BCF in
standard B-control mode rather than MC emu.

I believe there is an sx / nuendo preset for b control mode that you
could sys-ex to the BCF then edit, found on the behringer download site...
