BCR2000 and DX7 IIFD

BCR2000 and DX7 IIFD

2012-12-27 by dortola

Hi, I need a template for my DX7 IIFd. I was looking on forums, blogs, etc, but I couldn't find the right one. None of the DX7 templates that I've tried worked with my DX7 II.
Does anyone have THE DX7 IIFD template for the BCR2000?
Thank you and Merry Christmas for all of you!
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

you don't say what doesn't work.

I don't have a IIFD, just an original DX7.
I wrote a preset which is in the files section.
I believe the sysex is the same except with some extensions for the DX7II.

It is quite easy to write your own template with Mark's editor.
You just need the editor from his web site (see links or file section)
You need to work out what you want to control and the layout on the BC.
Make sure you have a copy of the sysex details (at the back of the manual usually)
I would start by loading one the DX7 presets from the file section into Mark's editor, then change what is needed.

Give it a try and if you get into trouble feel free to post a question.

All the best
Royce

If you do create the DX7 IIFD preset, please post it up on the files section. Would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Joey.
