Using a BCF2000 with Sonar's ACT

Using a BCF2000 with Sonar's ACT

2007-07-09 by Jeff B

Hello, I'm in the process of getting my Behringer BCF2000 fader controller to work with Cakewalk Sonar 6 XL (using ACT). I've played around with it in Mackie emulation mode, and now I'm looking into using the BCF2000 with Sonar's ACT (in normal mode, not Mackie emulation mode). The BCF2000 is new to me so I'm in the process of learning it as well as ACT and I've been playing around with getting each configured to work with each other. At this point, I've got the two set up so I can control Sonar with the BCF2000 (via ACT) but not the other way around. In other words, I can move the sliders on my BCF2000 and Sonar responds, but when I move the sliders in Sonar, the faders on the BCF2000 don't move.

I've contacted Cakewalk support and they have confirmed this - (the communication is only one way), and I was wondering, if anyone has a work around.

Thanks,

Jeff

I can confirm that Cakewalk is SLOW and MINIMALIST in responding to user requests for information and help. I haven't tried using my BCF with Sonar 6 HS yet and probably won't get to it for some time. I'm packing my studio down now for a move and it may be boxed up for a few months. Maybe someone else can help?
