Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hey here,

So, you may have seen my previous posts a few months ago, and my battle to get the BCR working smoothly in Ableton… next-up, is Dave Smiths mono Evolver (desktop).

I’ve downloaded and saved to the BCR ‘Massimo's BCR2000 Evolver Map 1.1’ preset… but not much happening so far.

Can anyone provide the idiots step-by-step guide on how to get this working so I can control the Evolver using the BCR from within Abelton? I’m also using the SoundTower Evolver PlugSE vst plugin inside Abelton.

The Evolver is already set-up within Ableton and is responding to my midi keyboard and the soundtower vst just fine – no issues there.

The BCR is connected to my computer via USB (that mode is selected on the BCR). And of course the Evolver is connected via Midi…

Is it even possible to do this (control Evolver with the BCR within Abelton)

Massimo's mapping is using sysex, right? I don't use Ableton, but I read a few times that it doesn't support sysex. The Evolver PlugSE works in Ableton by taking control of the Midi ports.

If the PlugSE works fine, why are you not using that to link the BCR to? (just like you would with any other plugin)
