I´m in serious trouble !

2007-08-06 by Tommy

Hi !

I still havent lmanaged, how to use my BCF2000 !
Nothing that is in manual works. I know how to use the Mackie
emulator, but thats all.
What I need is - I use Fruity Loops, Reason, Cubase, Adobe Audition
and Cakewalk software. I want to connect my BCF2000 to controll the
panorama and volume of the softwares and also use the midi k-board to
play the midi notes at the same time.
Please, help me step by step !

Thanks

Do you have the manuals for any of this software?

I don't use any of these programs but there must be a way in each of these programs to assign the knobs, buttons and faders of the BCF to specific tasks.
I sould think that each program's manual would tell you how to assign midi cc messages.

I use Ableton Live and assigning things is super easy. I can't see it being that difficult in these programs.

I assume that since you say you can use mackie emulation that you have the BCF set up correctly. But let us know how you have it connected, (midi or usb)

Actually, the problem is not how to assin knobs, but how to use midi keuboard and BCF together.
If i set it up so I can use midi keyboard, the faders and knobs of BCF200 also play notes...

are the knobs and faders assigned to send MIDI CC data? Do you have them assigned to different MIDI channels?

First, it might help us to know what version of software the BCF has installed.

Also, have you read how to use the BCF's "Learn Mode"? That's the way to customize the BCF settings as you want them. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of other's setups that you can load and run. The real beauty of these things is getting them customized for your own needs. And to do that, you need to learn to use the BCF's "Learn Mode", some basic MIDI theory, your target software's midi setup and usage, and then you're well on your way. Sounds easy, but it is a lot of work. The good thing is that once you get a few concepts, it snowballs and everything starts falling into place.

Sorry, not really much help, just some advice.
