.syx dump with Midi-ox??

Trying again to ask for help configuring Midi-ox to send .syx files to the bcf2000.This is my fourth try posting this topic and I never see it posted.

I hope it works this time...

OOOooook so it seems perhaps my previous posts were never posted, perhaps because of a URL address. Are URL's allowed?Anyway can anyone help me configure midi-ox to send .syx files to the bcf2000 in a windows 7 OS? I can get B-control to do it using a windows XP system but that's not what I want to do indefinitely.

Also, I contacted Behringer and they said they would update B-Control if there was significant interest, is anyone willing to email them? If so I'll post the details.

Have you used MidiOx to send sysex in XP and can't get it to work in Win7 or have you not used MidiOx before?
In case of the latter....
Set up MidiOx by selecting the BCF midi in and out ports by going to Options/Midi Devices.
Make sure you have the Input and Output Monitor windows open as well as the Midi Port Routing window (under the View menu)

Left click drag a connection from the MidOx Event Port on the Routing window to your BCF port on the right.

Select Options / Pass Sysex
NOTE that sometimes this needs to be de-selected and then reselected.
Don't know why. I have asked Jamie, but he is a busy fellow.

Open the Sysex window by View / Sysex.. menu.
On this new window use File /Send Sysex File.
Select the file and the sysex should be sent to the BCF and you should see the sysex in the Output Monitor .

Royce, I don't think I replied to this and sadly I didn't get to really try my BCF out much but I *may* have used your advice. The 3rd party plugin I was trying to use with my photo editing program (Adobe Lightroom 5) in conjunction with the BCF has gone largely unupdated and loosely supported by it's unpaid developer doing it on his free time.

Wonderful plugin...but needing updates to work well, and frankly I ran out of time to figure it out.

SOOO I have a beautiful, mint condition and WHITE BCF I bought just for photo editing...sitting on my gear rack. It's been there since this thread pretty much. Yep, two years.

I'll be trying to work with it again in the coming months to help my hands from developing any repetitive motion issues so hopefully it will work! I hardly remember what sysex was about now...but it'll come back and hopefully your advice will help me do...whatever I was trying to do. I think I was trying to configure presets or sliders to match my PC but heck...two years. lol.

Are you still using these, or on this forum?

Yes, life often gets in the way and two years is no time at all.

When you are ready, let me know if I can help.
