New version of the Script Editor

New version of the Script Editor

2007-08-11 by rpcfender

For all of you brave enough to use my script editor, there is a new
version in the files area (just check the upload dates to see if you
have the latest)

The new version has single click search for global, preset, buttons,
encoders and faders as well as an area to type in the search.

I now trap the error message that the BCR/BCF sends out and attach it
to the offending line in the script and display it.
Double clicking on the error line will take you to the correct line in
the script.

I am currently only displaying the error number. If any one has a list
(or can create one) of what each error number means feel free to post
it or email me.

You can now select a device number and unit type (BCR/BCF) or, the
default, the universal header (device = F7 Unit Type = F7)

You can change presets from the editor (this loads it into the edit
buffer on the unit) then fetch it.

You can now store what is in the edit buffer on the unit to any preset
position.
Send then press Store or if you have the "Auto Store" checked pressing
"Send" will automatically store it for you (the default for "auto
store" is off)

There is an automatic refresh to display the preset names so you can
see that is has been saved into the correct spot.

Thank you all for being such great beta testers. (I haven't heard any
complaints from anyone. Gee I must write great code 8) )

The info files have been updated as well.

Let me know how you get on

Thanks

Royce

A real nice upgrade, Royce.
The additional docs re: BCR/F scripting are really helpful too.

The BC MIDI Implementation document I've just uploaded has a section
containing a list of the error messages that I think are appropriate,
although it's of course anyone's guess what Behringer themselves had
in mind.

Just a nitpicker's note: I assume you mean 7F ! (I only noticed
because I tend to make the same mistake!)

Mark.

No, not nitpicking, great catch.
You are correct it should be 7F for both the device and the Unit type.
(Too many late nights)
Bad information is much worse than none at all. Thanks for spotting it.

All the best
